Captain: Dele Alli
After a shitty few GW’s, my gambles have not worked out, big guns have failed me and the defence have gone missing. My meticulous planning and obsessive nature has to pay off eventually, doesn’t it? I’m still pretty happy with my team, and we have some decent fixtures this weekend, that has to equal points eventually, doesn’t it? (PLEASE MEAN POINTS!! I DESPERATELY NEED POINTS!!)
In goal Heaton goes to Boro, who look like they’ve discovered how useful goals can be in football matches. Scoring over 1 goal for only the 5th time this season! I see Boro nicking this one as they look to be going down with a little fight. However i’m hoping for a dullest with Heaton pulling off a worldies. Alonso goes to the Vitality stadium, where he needs to start providing some output. Remember when stacking your backline with Chelsea defenders was a safe way to guarantee points.. No more, 8 games now without a clean sheet. Thankfully Alonso has provided some attacking returns over that period but he needs to start picking up his bread and butter. Valencia will hopefully be back to pick up his guaranteed clean sheet against Sunderland. His omission last time out was a big shock as seemingly the only fixture proof United player after Zlatan. If he’s back I expect good returns! Stones comes into the team based on his plum fixture against Hull. If he plays is another question.. Pep has frustrated on many occasions this year, but Baines is waiting in the wings if needs be so I have ample cover. Stones has threatened to score some goals in recent times so you never know, could be an inspired differential.
Stones and Valencia look like shoe ins for clean sheets, Alonso and Heaton look less likely but I’m hopeful (as ever) for some good returns. Prediction: 19
Dele Alli joins GSL this week, his form is just too good to ignore. I’ve been in the Eriksen camp this season, and there’s still little between them but Alli looks bang in form and I can’t see him stopping anytime soon. Spurs are rampant at the moment so I can see quite a few goals in the Watford match. Hence Son staying in the side. Doubling up on the spurs midfield isn’t a huge risk as Son is replacing Kane for the foreseeable and is still a bargain at 7.0m! A big win for Spurs and I’ll be laughing. Unless Eriksen scores every goal.. in that case I’ll be finding a tall building somewhere.. Zaha and Sanchez face off on Monday night. Night games have a way of inspiring goals, so we’ll hopefully see a glorious 4-4 with points galore. Both blanked last time out so I need some returns! Sanchez is causing some headaches, but as I mentioned in my review of the last game week I’m not going to get rid anytime soon. Zaha on the other hand is purely for GW34, he has until then to earn a permanent role in the team. Tadic is another one to blank last time out, he’s been very underwhelming since coming into the team, so a tasty fixture against West Brom is a great opportunity to make up for it. He’s a big differential, who I still have faith in, the science backs the theory! Just needs a sprinkling of luck..
Shout out to Big Sig who departed the team this week, he’s been a great asset for GSL however his form is dropping and he’s no longer a differential so I made the tough choice to let him go, Farewell Sig! Thanks for the memories! Prediction: 26
Upfront Vardy and Lukaku face each other which is a bit concerning however Vardy‘s form and Lukaku‘s home threat is a big factor in keeping both on the pitch. In the foxes last away match there were 5 goals, and Everton has scored 9 in their last 3 home games. I see goals in this game so I’m hopeful the talisman strikers can get a hatful.
Avoid a 0-0 here and there should be points! Lukaku has some making up to do as he flaunts his wares in the shop window. Vardy has 45 points in his last 5 games so I’m hopeful here. Prediction: 10
Alli is the obvious choice. Haven’t even considered anyone else. I did see a front line of Zlatan and Augero that frightened me with the fixtures they have but as I have neither Alli has to be the spearhead.
I’ve got a good feeling about this game week! Gonna smash it! Keeemon!!
