The midweek games have ravaged my side with 5 doubts for the weekend. There is hope that the majority should clear up, however it still fills me with sadness every time I open up my team. The fixtures don’t look too promising either, so preparing myself for an underwhelming week..

In goal, Pickford comes in for last weeks hero Tom Heaton. Heaton goes to spurs, where he could potentially rack up double figures in saves. But I’m going for clean sheet potential, and where better than the Stadium of light… Yes, I’m pinning my hopes on a Sunderland clean sheet, what could possibly go wrong.. Next we have Marcos Alonso going to palace, Chelsea love clean sheets, Palace love goals. So this could go either way. Monreal goes to City if he survives tomorrows transfer.. no chance of a clean sheet here so fingers crossed he pops up with an assist. Cedric will hopefully shake off an illness to play Bournemouth and extend Southampton’s clean sheets streak. Prediction: 12 Points

The midfield looks much better. Hazard should recover for the Palace game, so should be able to take advantage of Palaces leaky back line. Eriksen is on fire at home at the moment, so I’m hoping for another bumper haul. Sig goes to riverside, his away form has been poor and Boro hate goals in general so it’s unlikely I’ll see much return here. Sanchez goes to the Etihad, where I predict goals and who is more dangerous at the moment than Alexis Sanchez. I have a feeling Arsenal may heap more misery on Pep’s city and Sanchez will be key. Prediction: 16 Points

Upfront Anichebe and Origi are both carrying knocks. They should recover for the weekend and if they do I see some points from both. Origi is in great form and should the Merseyside derby descend into chaos as it has in the past, he’ll be there to reap the rewards. Anichebe is coming off a few blanks, however his hustle has been a big reason why Sunderland have improved in recent weeks. Finally we have Harry Kane who will be feeling the burden from FPL managers across the land. Burnley at home is as plum as plum can get, he has to get points surely! Prediction: 15

I’m between Eriksen and Kane for the armband. Eriksen‘s consistency may count against him, and Kane is the safe choice. I’m sure to switch a few more times before tomorrows deadline.

Overall I’m predicting a pessimistic 43 point week… Largely dependent on injuries, pray for the magic sponge. Pray for points.
